Qqs Board of Directors

We acknowledge and uplift our Board of Directors whose governance work at Qqs deepens our impact and builds out our organizational resilience: Carrie Easterbrook, Johanna Gordon-Walker, Cindy Neilson, Jayda Wilson, and Mavis Windsor.

Qqs Youth Staff

2024

Each year, we hire youth to lead our land-based and community programs with support from adult staff, community resource people, and mentors. We are grateful to the following young leaders for enriching our work and advancing our mission in 2024:

Isiah Brown, Von Brown, Clay Carpenter, Cale Clifton, Taniyah Gladstone, Mickayla John, Georgia Lawson, Landon Lawson-Housty, Norman Paul, Sierra Stegman, Toriann Tweedie, Latoya Windsor, and Maxine Windsor.

Restorative Justice Beach House Program

We uplift our partners at the Heiltsuk Restorative Justice Program for their important work and for trusting us with student placements through their Beach House Program. This program supports youth to pursue their academic and personal goals through alternative and individualized supports to achieve their educational goals and increase their social and emotional wellbeing. We are grateful to these students for their contributions to our team in their work placements with us!

Koeye Dogs

Our safety and wellbeing on the land has been supported over the years by a team of working dogs who help us mitigate the risk of human/bear conflict. While we do not currently have dogs on our team, we are grateful to the working dogs who have kept us safe over 26+ years on the land.
